Blake MacGregor

Director of Project Development & Preconstruction

Blake MacGregor

Blake is a magician. A magician with numbers, that is. As director of project development & preconstruction, he is responsible for delivering accurate budgets that define projects under his purview.  His day-to-day involves monitoring the construction market, analyzing conditions and developing creative ideas so his clients understand how far their dollars can go.

Blake likes to say the A/E/C industry is in his DNA. His father, an architect by trade, had him sitting at a drafting table when he was in diapers.  Visiting project sites by the time he was in middle school, he built a garage and patched tennis courts all before he turned 15. Shortly after, he worked as a union laborer and field engineer in high school and college.

Although he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Arizona State University and is a member of Autodesk’s 2022 preconstruction advisory board, Blake credits his on-the-job training for where he is today, professionally.

As emotionally intelligent as he is technically accomplished, perhaps the strongest asset he brings to B&A’s executive leadership table is inspired by being a father. “My daughters have taught me about empathy, kindness, being self-aware and truly listening more than any other experience in life,” he said.
