The University Club of Chicago: Seventh & Eighth Floor Expansion

To support the University Club of Chicago’s desire for year-around casual entertaining, Bulley & Andrews recently completed the 7th and 8th floor expansion program. The complex building program has resulted in unique and welcoming new spaces for the Club’s members.

By removing the roof of the adjacent building to the south, and then building up the Club’s 7th floor to add an 8th, the club has created an enviable and much desired space devoted to more causal lifestyles.

The Parliament, located on the 8th floor, features an infinity rooftop deck that overlooks Millennium Park and offers members private dining for 120 along with incredible views to the East. The rooftop maintains the club’s privacy as it is set back 28 feet from 30 S. Michigan’s edge, with a glass railing just four feet from the existing parapet.

The more relaxed feel of The Living Room, located on the 7th floor, gives guests a more casual venue to relax, connect and entertain.
