Richards High School Performing Arts Center

Bulley & Andrews provided general contracting services for Harold L. Richards High School’s addition and remodeling project.

The project included the high school’s new, 25,000 sq. ft. performing arts center, which consists of a 600-650 seat theater, a scene shop where sets are constructed, changing rooms, bathrooms, a foyer with a box office and a black box theater adjacent to the main theater. The existing music department was renovated as well.

Since 2010, the 1,837-student school has won eight Illinois High School Association state championships in theater without the benefit of a true performance space. The new performing arts center supports the program’s continued success.
