InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile: Guestroom Renovations

Touted as the “Crown Jewel of Michigan Avenue,” the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile traces its roots to 1929 when it was built as the Medinah Athletic Club. Art Deco details adorn the hotel’s interior and exterior. A grand doorway welcomes guests, while marble columns, a spectacular staircase, cast-bronze friezes and painted ceilings echo the classic designs of the Roaring ‘20s.

Located on Michigan Avenue, the hotel provides guests with convenient access to Chicago’s fine dining and shopping district.

Bulley & Andrews served as construction manager to help modernize the hotel’s guestrooms and public spaces. The scope of the project involved updates to 477 guest rooms, as well as the hotel’s guest corridors.

The hotel’s modern-meets-classic updates complement its prime metropolitan location.
