Delnor Hospital: Surgery Department Renovation & Addition

Bulley & Andrews provided construction management services for Delnor Hospital’s 64,000 sq. ft. surgery center renovation and addition project.

The new, 24,000 sq. ft., two-story addition included a loading dock, receiving space and ten new operating rooms. The renovated spaces consist of approximately 45,000 sq. ft. of interior hospital space with 44 new recovery bays, new nurse stations, a post-anesthesia care unit, locker rooms, lounges, waiting areas, GI procedure rooms and storage areas.

B&A worked closely with Delnor Hospital’s safety team to plan the temporary barricades and necessary contaminants required in order to accommodate the three phases of the project. Certain rooms were prioritized and turned over early in order to ensure hospital operations continued without interruption.

The project is the most significant change to the surgical area since the hospital moved to the Randall Road location 25 years ago.
