Advocate Health Care: Integrated Service Center Pharmacy Renovation

Serving as construction manager, Bulley & Andrews completed Advocate Health Care’s Integrated Service Center pharmacy renovation. The 37,000 sq. ft. project transformed an existing warehouse into a centralized pharmacy with Cleanroom space as well as new offices.

To achieve the tight schedule, the team phased the project while working collaboratively with the architect and Advocate Health Care to identify long-lead items and develop early procurement packages for bidding and release. B&A also implemented Lean techniques, such as pull-planning, to complete the exterior work prior to winter, despite the fact that the project start date was delayed.

Coordinating construction of the facility’s Cleanroom with consultants, subcontractors and all other affected MEP trades, the team utilized modular wall construction to ensure seamless execution. A roofing consultant was also brought on board to maintain the existing roofing warranty after the upgrade work was completed.
