1660 N. LaSalle Drive Condominium Association

Due to the deterioration of galvanized steel piping at a downtown residential highrise at 1660 N. LaSalle Drive, Bulley & Andrews managed the replacement of all distribution piping, risers and residential unit branch piping for 13 risers plus an express riser at the 43-story building.

To limit disruption to the residents and building operations as much as possible, B&A worked with the owner and project team to shorten the project schedule from 23 months, with a two month work stoppage around the holidays, down to six months and completion before the holidays.

B&A provided carpentry and general contracting support to access the various risers and refurbish the effected areas, including individual units as well as common areas, upon completion. With expert coordination of logistics and schedule control, every unit had running water, a functional shower and a functioning toilet at the end of each workday.
