B&A Stands Down for Safety
Bulley & Andrews (B&A) is proud to put safety at the forefront of our projects today and every day. During this year’s Safety Week, B&A partnered with the Builders Association to reinforce the imperativeness of project safety and commitment to workers’ health.
Halting work for 30 minutes at the jobsite for B&A’s new headquarters on May 5, B&A’s Safety Director Greg Marquez led almost 50 workers in a Safety Stand Down. Designed to demonstrate the value of safety training and comprehensive jobsite inspections, the Safety Stand Down focused on the importance of Pre-Task Planning.
“Effective Pre-Task Planning is a vital component of a proactive safety management program,” said Marquez. “In an effort to achieve our goal of zero incident projects, we support and encourage pre-planning of all activities on B&A projects.”
B&A is proud to participate in Safety Week, but we’re even prouder of the dedication to safety that our teams exhibit onsite every day. Their careful coordination and commitment to safe building practices has earned B&A a formidable safety record. B&A’s Experience Modification Rate (EMR), currently 0.66, is consistently below the national average of 1.0, exemplifying our strong safety culture.
A successful building project is more than a finished space. Our workers onsite and their well-being are crucial elements of every B&A project.
