Project Details

The University of Chicago Midway Crossings
Bulley & Andrews recently completed construction management services for The University of Chicago’s Midway Crossings project at Ellis and Woodlawn Avenues in Hyde Park.
The project included the construction of a series of state-of-the-art pedestrian walkways located on the Midway Plaisance on The University of Chicago’s historic campus.
Pre-construction services included budgeting and mock-ups of concrete structures and the 50-foot tall light masts that will illuminate the Midway for students and residents.
A collaborative approach between the design architect located in New York, the local Architect of Record, The University of Chicago, the Chicago Park District, CDOT and B&A was employed throughout pre-construction and into construction.
Pre-construction services for the next crossing, located at Dorchester Avenue are currently underway.
