Project Details

Metropolitan Capital Bank
Bulley & Andrews served as general contractor for the adaptive reuse of the Tree Studio North Annex for Metropolitan Capital Bank’s new financial services studio.
On the National Register of Historic Places and a City of Chicago Landmark, the 6,500 SF project successfully challenged the design/build concept with its demands on quick, informed decision-making and an unusually complex design review process.
The project had a series of challenges given its age, historical status and its change in use from residential artists’ studios to bank space. The team approach proved critical to the success of the project and the results yielded a unique and sophisticated environment that expresses stability yet is inviting.
