Oak Park Public Library

Bulley & Andrews served as general contractor for the village of Oak Park’s new public library.  Located at the corner of Lake Street and Grove Avenue, the new facility is 140,000 sq. ft. and includes a tech center, caf’e, art gallery, and public meeting rooms, in addition to traditional library facilities.

The $19.6 million construction project includes a three-story building and underground parking for 80 cars.

The south elevation is faced with stone while the east elevation, adjacent to Scoville Park, features copper panels and is topped with an undulating roof.  The library’s second and third floors feature large windows providing patrons with a generous view of the park.

The project broke ground in April 2002 and was completed in July 2003.
