Operating under an aggressive schedule and extensive phasing, all 217 guestrooms and seven suites at the Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Campus were updated with a sophisticated new look. The renovated space features high-speed wireless Internet access, flat screen televisions, new carpeting, wall coverings and light fixtures. The hotel’s two ballrooms, Grand Oaks Pavilion and Prairie, received new carpeting, window treatments, and wall coverings. Two permanent boardrooms featuring executive tables and leather chairs were also added during the renovation and the 17,000 SF of existing meeting space was transformed with an updated contemporary look to accommodate either business or social events. Piazza, the hotel’s acclaimed Italian restaurant, and Hearth Lounge, boasting beautiful lake views and a huge fireplace, were renovated also. Both restaurants now feature new décor and furniture. The Water’s Edge restaurant has become a café style restaurant and marketplace. Bulley & Andrews’ Meyne division has been completing work for McDonald’s for over 20 years including the construction of the Corporate Campus. The construction team for the project included Mark Evans, Project Executive and Joe Flynn, Superintendent. The architectural firm of Lohan Caprile Goettsch, led by Michael Kaufman and managed by Jeff Johnson, completed the design. Sharon Feller of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the Owner.
