
CHICAGO, IL (January 8, 2000) - Bulley & Andrews, LLC, general contractor, and Nagle Hartray Danker Kagan McKay Architects Planners Ltd. (NHDKM) in collaboration with Alphonse G. Guajardo/Associates Ltd. (AGG/A) ), architectural design, announce the completion of the new Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
Completion of the $9.7 million, 52,000 SF building provides much needed space for Cristo Rey’s increasing student population. When the school was founded in 1996 it served 97 students with nine classrooms. Now the student body, which has grown to 280, has plenty of space in a new home complete with two art studios, three science labs and four computer resource rooms. The facility is the first new high school built in the Archdiocese since 1967.
Construction for the 3-story building began in September 1998 with substantial completion achieved in December 1999. The construction team included Bill Kroeger, Project Manager, Maria Gallos, Project Engineer, and Joe Koppers, Superintendent. The design team consisted of Dirk Danker (NHDKM), Alphonse Guarjardo (AGG/A), David Ervin (AGG/A), John Gleichman (NHDKM), Yvonne Bilhausen (AGG/A), and Todd Wilson (NHDKM).
