Designed with sustainable strategies for effective energy use, lighting, water and material use, the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center was awarded LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Park District of Oak Park will break ground March 9 to signal the beginning of the Ridgeland Common Renovation Project. Facility improvements include expansion of the ice arena to regulation size (85’ x 200’); separate entrances for the pool and the arena; new locker rooms; three new activity rooms; synthetic field with new lighting and fencing; relocation of the dog park; new pool gutters, mechanicals and pipe replacements and much more. Bulley & Andrews is pleased to announce that the Ronald McDonald House was recognized by ENR Midwest with the Best Projects Multifamily Residential/Hospitality Award of Merit. Bulley & Andrews served as General Contractor for construction of the facility, which is the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House. Project team members include Antunovich Associates as Architect, Gettys as Interiors Architect, CEA&A Structural Engineers, and Sieben Energy Associates provided commissioning. The 2012 ENR Midwest winning projects were selected based on design and construction quality, innovation, safety and the ability of their project teams to overcome unique challenges. The InterContinental Chicago debuted a fresh, dynamic lighting scheme at The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on Saturday, November 17, in downtown Chicago. Nine projects were honored for excellence in preservation on Saturday, October 27 at the Landmarks Illinois' annual Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Awards ceremony at the InterContinental Chicago. Among those nine projects were two Bulley & Andrews’ projects. Recognized as Project of the Year for Restoration was the Monroe Building at 104 South Michigan Avenue. Chicago, Ill. (October 24, 2012) – Award winning general contractor, Bulley & Andrews, LLC, was recently selected to serve as general contractor for the new $30 million Lycée Français de Chicago school in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. The new campus, which will be located at 4550 Winchester Avenue, will replace the former Ravenswood Hospital that has been vacant for over a decade. With an anticipated opening scheduled for September 2015, project delivery will coincide with the school’s 20th Anniversary. Bulley & Andrews is proud to announce that the Exelon Gymnasium was named a winner in the 50th Annual Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Design Awards competition for Best School Project (K-12). Bulley & Andrews served as General Contractor for the gymnasium’s construction for the Noble Network of Charter School’s Rowe Clark Math and Science Academy. The building’s design features precast concrete insulated sandwich wall panels that allowed the project to achieve its tight budget and compressed schedule goals as well as LEED Gold certification. Bulley & Andrews joined the Chicago Family Health Center as they broke ground on their new facility in Pullman on August 14th. Replacing the current health center in Pullman, the new facility will allow the Chicago Family Health Center to better meet the communities' needs by providing over 21,000 square feet of space including 23 exam rooms, 9 dental operatiores as well as group therapy and classroom space.
