Many of the traits that have made Bulley & Andrews a success can be seen from our earliest days, which reach back to 1891. That’s when Frederick Bulley, a 21 year-old English stone mason, joined in partnership with an architect named Alfred Andrews. The men’s skill sets complemented one another and they shared a greater sense of responsibility to the building industry. Their commitment to set the company apart based on the motto: “honesty, integrity and quality service in construction” continues to be the guiding force in our business endeavors today.

First opening for business at 115 North Dearborn, with a staff of one, Bulley & Andrews began to win its first projects, due in part to Fred’s masonry work, which was regarded as among the best in the city. Alfred Andrews’ uncanny estimating skills ensured that their bids were always accurate and reliable. This winning combination, quality workmanship and project management acumen, remain the hallmark of Bulley & Andrews’ approach to successful project delivery.
