Chicago Athletic Association Hotel Wins Gold Key Award

A record 365 designers submitted projects to compete in the 35th annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design. Winners were unveiled at a gala on November 9 at the Waldorf Astoria New York. The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel was selected as a 2015 Gold Key Award winner for “Best Hotel Upscale.”

As described in Boutique Design’s December issue, the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel “Bring[s] a storied 1893 space into the present day, without losing the historical detailing or integrity.”

Sponsored by Boutique Design, the awards recognize the most influential and innovative design work in the hospitality industry. Winners and finalists were determined by a distinguished panel of judges from the hospitality design, operations, development and investment sectors.
