Bulley & Andrews Partners for Canstruction

Packing on the pounds this year, the 8th annual Canstruction Chicago resulted in a record-breaking 111,442 pounds of food. The annual competition invites local design and construction firms to create remarkable structures out of canned goods, all of which are donated to the Greater Chicago Food Depository after the event.

Partnering with RATIO/smdp and Stearn-Joglekar, Bulley & Andrews is proud to have participated in this worthwhile and beneficial design-build competition. The team designed and then constructed a unique and structurally challenging farm scene titled “Planting Seeds of Change to End Hunger in Chicago.” The structure used approximately 2,500 cans and boxes and took home the award for “Most Needed Items by GCFD” at the September 4th awards program for the use of pasta.
