The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel brought home a ‘W’ last Tuesday, May 24 as it was awarded the Chicago Building Congress (CBC) 2016 Merit Award for Rehab Construction. Built in 1893, the 225,000 square foot landmark building has been brought back to life as a new 241-room boutique hotel. From the drafting table to the field, a true team effort knocked this project out of the park.

Bulley & Andrews was proud to have two teams in the game at the CBC’s 60th Annual Merit Awards ceremony. The MetroSquash Academic & Squash Center was also recognized as a finalist in the Construction Under $15 Million category. The new 21,000 sq. ft. facility in Woodlawn provides a home where the nonprofit MetroSquash can realize their vision to promote academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and access to opportunity for youth.
